My name is Satia, and I’m from Gijón, Spain.

I started tattooing five years ago, after completing a two-year traditional apprenticeship in a tattoo studio. After spending two years tattooing in Madrid, I moved to Berlin, where I became part of the Iron City team. I studied at the School of Arts, but I would say my real education came from my tattoo apprenticeship and from traveling and working across Spain.

From the very beginning, I fell in love with the American Traditional style. I’ve been developing it ever since, always trying to add a personal touch. I draw inspiration from classic traditional flash, but I also enjoy reinterpreting imagery from movies and music.

I also work in other styles, like fine line and black and grey, because I believe it’s important to explore every aspect of this craft.

Mein Name ist Satia und ich komme aus Gijón, Spanien. Ich habe vor fünf Jahren mit dem Tätowieren begonnen, nachdem ich eine zweijährige traditionelle Ausbildung in einem Tattoostudio abgeschlossen hatte.

Nach zwei Jahren in Madrid bin ich nach Berlin gezogen, wo ich Teil des Iron City-Teams wurde. Ich habe an der Kunsthochschule studiert, aber meine eigentliche Ausbildung habe ich durch mein Tattoo-Praktikum und durch das Reisen und Arbeiten in ganz Spanien erhalten.

Von Anfang an habe ich mich in den American Traditional-Stil verliebt. Seitdem entwickle ich ihn stetig weiter und versuche dabei, ihm immer meine persönliche Note zu verleihen. Meine Inspiration ziehe ich aus klassischem Traditional-Flash, aber ich interpretiere auch gerne Motive aus Filmen und Musik neu. Ich arbeite auch in anderen Stilen wie Fine Line und Black and Grey, weil ich glaube, dass es wichtig ist, alle Aspekte dieses Handwerks zu erkunden
